Or you can just chill in the hot tub like we did in the morning and watch the grey squirrels frolic or at night and stargaze while you relax in the bubbles. Just a short drive into town for food and libations. Highly recommend De La Nonna for Italian with an awesome view of the lake. But beware the Aperol slushy machine is dangerous lol. Tropicali if you love Tiki like we do, and Grizzy Manor for the biggest pancakes I’ve ever seen. They give you pizza boxes for take home haha. We expected an add on price for the hot tub but it was not the price listed on the description."

"We loved the space. However, if you are going to stay at this unit, it would be best to take your own towels, pillows, kleenex, shampoo, conditioner and knives (if cooking). We got exactly two towels for a 3 night stay - one for each of us, and they were made out of some strange netting material that was punctured when hung on the bathroom towel hook. I think it was probably from the dollar store, which is where the shampoo and conditioner were from. The pillows were so thick and hard, they were like logs in pillowcases. There was no kleenex in the unit and the toilet paper was single ply, which does not work well as kleenex. The knives were serrated, which only works on bread. We ended up going to the store to buy pillows, towels, kleenex, shampoo and conditioner so that we didn't need to use what was provided. That said, Chase was very pleasant and responsive. There just needs to be an upgrade made to the amenities to make this unit comfortable."

"this two bedroom condo has an incredible location, probably one of the best if you want to ski at Snow Summit. The lifts are literally right next to the back patio. However, the communication and specifics of the Rental are one of the worst I have ever experienced. This listing has one notification that you have to pay an extra fee to use the hot tub that is embedded under 48 different amenities. This extra charge was never made clear and chase. The property manager was extremely rude and condescending when explaining the hidden fee. Chase even went as far as telling my family and I how to vacation and that we should just relax after asking if we could have the hot tub cleaned so that we could use it after having going back-and-forth over an hour. This manager never got back to us. I have to say his welcome was a major damper on our trip. At one point, he promised us that he would notify us if the hot tub was available and we never heard back. The absolute rudest incompetent property manager we have ever worked with across all sites. The rental itself is OK if you don’t mind mismatch towels that are rather rough and scratchy and pot you can barely cook with. Don’t expect to make pancakes for your family. All that was available was an 8 inch pan. Chromosome the beds were a seven out of ten in comfort. Overall, I would return to this rental if the property manager was replaced and I would bring my own cookware. As mentioned above, the location was incredible."

The space is small, but comfortable for our family of 4. Since we came for a ski weekend, it was perfect. There was an option to add the spa amenity for an additional fee, and I’m glad we did, because it was much needed after a day on the slopes. The master bed and pillows were comfortable, but the bunk bed was flimsy, however the mattresses were comfy for the kids. The kitchen had salt and pepper and nice pans, flatware and dish ware. My biggest con was that the towels were tired..they were really rough, and we got a total of 7, when we wish we had 4 for the spa, and 4 for showers. All in all, we loved our stay."

"Our host was very responsive. But it’s been a while since this unit was refreshed. It has single pane windows from when it was originally built. It’s very cold inside without running the heater. The heating system is creative of hotspots. The bigger bedroom is super cooking hot and the front bedroom is cold.The front window downstairs was cracked, which let in cold air. I don’t know exactly how it was remodeled? Pots and pans were OK. The location was pretty good. But the whole complex is rundown. It’s clean but tired. Hot water takes forever to get to any of the sinks in the house or the shower. Very simple if they crawled underneath and insulated the pipes, it would be much more responsive. For this kind of money I expected more. But as I say, the host was responsive and pleasant."

You get a couple parking passes for the private lot and enter through the back way so you don’t have to deal with the normal Summit traffic and parking mess. The condo itself is nicely done, more updated than most Big Bear cabins and has comfortable beds. We’ll visit again."

"I have stayed at Snow Summit Townhouses many times, and my experience is that there is no better location for skiing Snow Summit, most of them are outdated and worn-out looking. Chase’s place has been completely remodeled and the prices are considerably lower than those managed by the on-site outfit. The communications were totally clear, access was super easy, and the space comfortable. I won’t stay anywhere else from now."

"I booked this gorgeous cabin for my husband and 14 year old son to stay in for their trip to Big Bear over spring break and they absolutely loved it. The lifts for snow summit were right outside the door just as described and that was the best part!! It was super spacious and beautifully decorated, had everything they needed. It was freezing cold inside when they arrived, an icebox inside as my son said, but I understand that is an energy efficiency thing, just wanted to note that it if it’s cold when you’re staying here it will take a long time to heat up, so bundle up!! Other than they had the best time, best stay in this cabin/condo and couldn’t have found anything better or closer to the lifts!!"
"We truly enjoyed our stay, we had such an amazing view from the top balcony and also the balcony from our bedroom we were able to see snow summit which was beautiful. The cabin was extremely comfortable oh my gosh just did I speak about the view because the view was beautiful lol. we enjoyed the upstairs a lot it was immaculate the fireplace was so cozy and comfortable. The bedrooms were very comfortable the heater worked amazing especially for like the winter.
Definitely would stay here again Chase was extremely nice he actually called us ahead of time to introduce himself which is very personable and I truly love that ."

"Chase’s place was the perfect family get away for a ski in ski out week of fun. It was quiet, and the back porch opened up to the national forest, which allowed us easy access for dog walking and bathroom breaks. It was wonderful to have a doggy-bag trash, conveniently near the property too. Chase was very accommodating: at the last minute our dog sitter bailed, but we were able to take our family pet with us for a very reasonable fee. We really appreciated that and so did our dog Shiloh. 👏 We look forward to staying there again."

"I’ve stayed in many cabins in big bear but this was by far the best experience I’ve ever had. The chair lifts are literally your backyard and it takes maybe 2 mins to walk from the condo to the entrance of the resort. you park in the parking lot of snow summit. Will definitely be staying again. Chase was so kind and managed to get us in earlier than our check in time so we could take a break from the mountain and make some lunch."

"Great place & location, we came in summer and for skiers it would be great as you are right near the lift and entry to Snow Summit. The place was super clean and well stocked with everything you would need - very comfortable beds and nice stuf in the rooms. I had privacy on the back deck, but it is closet the summit lift which gets a bit noisy (music, etc) so if that doesn't bother you - it did not me - it's a greta place. I just always wonder why do we pay a cleaning fee tho for needing to wash our own dishes at the end? That plus Chase sends only generated emails, and did not personally respond when I asked him a question prior to coming, so, just keep that in mind. Which is why only 4 stars not 5."

"Excellent place to be close to snow summit. Very nice and comfortable. The coffee maker could be a normal size as it was to small and if 5 people stay that could be an issue. Hot water pressure at the kitchen sink and at the main bedroom bathroom sink was not available we did call chase and he immediately offer to send someone to fix it but we decided no to do it as the showers did have hot water and good pressure, so not a big deal. Definitely will come back."
"The Cabin is great It has everything you need . But by far the best part is it’s proximity to the ski resort . Maybe 400ft to the lift chair !!!! Unbeatable .

"Chase's place had a well stocked kitchen (cookware, spices, etc), plenty of room for a family of 4, and very clean. The best part for us was the location which is right next to the slopes with a short walk to the lifts and free slope-side parking. Chase was very responsive and even passed along a special offer from the Big Bear Visitor Center that covered a family meal at our favorite local restaurant. I would definitely seek out this place on our next trip."

"We had a wonderful stay! The walkable location was amazing especially when teaching our toddler to ski as he can only handle a few hours at resort at a time. Was easy to walk home for lunch then back in afternoon. Beautiful wooded view of slopes from balcony and had several hills behind complex we used for sledding. Floor plan worked out nicely with living space and bathroom up and 2 bedrooms/2 bath down. Heat worked great as it was cold. Chase was very accommodating and a delight to communicate with. We’ll def stay here again and highly suggest!"
