Warning about power outages during summer months in the mountains- We were not communicated about a planned power outage (fire prevention in mountain) for 24 hours so all our food spoiled, no hot water, no fan/ac, cooking, medical device that required power. From what others said, this happens somewhat regularly so would have been good to know in advance for planning. Most cellular had been limited so could not search/find info."

We stayed at the end of February and therefore the end of the ski season. This place has a fair amount of deferred maintenance. I think the Hot water heater needs to be replaced. Shower tub drain stop needs to repaired/replaced. The upstairs blankets and couch are really dusty and needed to be washed/cleaned. Hot water worked sporadically and provided hot water for about 10mins at a time. The 2nd day it just stopped, and then came back on a few hours later. Bathroom Pocket door broke and came off the roller. We have income properties and sometimes things stop working and go wrong at the same time. The owner was very accessible and responsive otherwise this would be a two to three star review."

You can walk straight to the lifts from the unit or even park your car as close as possible in the condo parking lot. Interesting layout with the guest bedrooms on the first floor (with a sink in the master) and common area upstairs but it worked out well for us. Only thing was the upstairs bathroom door didn’t seem to close properly. Otherwise, great stay and would definitely book here again if I’m going to Big Bear!"

"The host, Chase, is unresponsive. We went to this Cabin for July 4th with our 2 yr old. Temp was in high 80s. We got to the cabin and noticed there are tons of Acs. Just one ceiling fan upstairs. Im sure inside the house temp was above 100. We txted the host as soon as we got in, no response. We called the host, offered to bring a fan. But our son’s face was red and he was getting overheated. Within 10 min we left the cabin and got a room in Best Western. Since then, Chase has disappeared.
I have stayed in other Airbnd places and if they do not have an amenity, it is crossed off. So the description was unclear and not honest. Too hot to stay there in the summer."

"The photos looked beautiful and modern which is why I booked. Upon entering I learned the home was about half remodeled. The old molding, base boards, cabinets, etc are original. And not clean. Not touched up with paint. Nothing. It made me feel like the home was dirty. The bathroom cabinets had washable stains and dust and dirt on them. The couch was so broken in that I couldn’t even sit on it and enjoy my stay. I left a day early after only one day because I was so uncomfortable. I wish wish listing would make it known that it’s an old home with some work done but a lot of old structuring left and not touched up. But they definitely need a new couch. I did love the openness of the upstairs, but aside from that, it felt like a 3 star hotel. Definitely not 5 star."

The place is in an AMAZING location (you could not be any closer to the Snow Summit), about 1.5 miles to the stores (i.e. Vons, Stater Brothers, etc...) and about 1.5 miles to the Village. Just really central to everything.
Chase's place was clean, organized, and looked really nice. Two bedrooms with a one full bathroom are on the bottom floor. The beds had comfortable, supportive mattress as well as TV's in each room.
The upstairs had a half bathroom, and then a large open kitchen, dinning room, and living space, with a fireplace and big TV. In addition, to the streaming channels, this TV also had standard cable which was great! The living space also had high ceilings which was nice.
The only thing we didn't like was the couch and the living space could use a little more light at night time.
Overall, this place is outstanding and made for a perfect three day vacation."

I could ride my mountain bike right from the place and catch many amazing trails without ever getting in my car to drive to a trailhead. the last day was awesome as I did the downhill at snow summit resort which shares the same parking lot with the condo. It was so perfect and convenient.

It made a huge difference in our day. We were able to go back and relax before heading to dinner in town. The drive to the Village area was easy and quick. "Chase's place is beautiful and peaceful, during summer is great to have a pool. The house provided everything you need for your stay, is clean and the kitchen is equiped if you plan to cook. Restaurants and stores are nearby and you can easily move around based on the information sent by Chase plus the map that was given in the office. I recommend it 100% I will surely book here for winter too."

Seen bats and wildlife and loved every part of it. I would recommend to anyone looking for a great location and comfy spot. "We stayed one night for the mountain biking at snow summit and our stay was great. We booked for 3 but had a small emergency coming up the mountain and we had to have our friends come rescue us. Chase kindly allowed us to have more people with us for the night, which we were very greatful for."

"I knew that we would be close to the slopes, but I didn’t realize that it would mean VIP parking because of the location and so close that we could come home for lunch and easily walk back and forth. The unit is super clean and well maintained and looks exactly as the pictures show. My husband and I stayed with our two kids for a ski trip and really enjoyed our time. We will definitely be contacting Chase next time we head to Big Bear."

"Chase was very responsive and helpful. Check in went smooth. The only recommendation to other users is to try and arrive by 5:00 to get your community parking pass. Otherwise you have to wait until 9:00 the next morning to pick it up from the office which means a later start on the slopes."

"We had a great time, the unit is very comfortable and right next to the Snow Summit slopes. If you are skiing at Snow Summit it is a perfect location, where you can just walk to the ticket office and the chairlifts.
